Losing Sunday night’s Super Bowl game to the New Orleans Saints with disbelief and frustration, the Indianapolis Colts are now trying to downplay the disappointment and focusing more on next season’s chances.
As the Colts quarterback Peyton Manning said, the team has played well the past regular-season and the postseason but they just did not play well enough to win the championship. The Colts broke the NFL record for consecutive regular-season wins by winning 23 straight games; they set the league mark for wins in a decade with 115 wins through the past ten seasons; they extended their own NFL mark of consecutive 12-win seasons to seven; they completed seven fourth-quarter comebacks, also a league record; and their quarterback in No. 18 NFL jerseys Manning won his fourth MVP award, breaking a tie with Brett Favre for the most ever.
The Colts have the confidence to have a better season in 2010. Manning will stay with them, especially after the team owner is prepared to make him the highest-paid quarterback in league history, and several injured players return to team. The Colts should be a stronger team in 2010.

Former star DT is under investigation during Super Bowl time
Warren Sapp, a former star defensive tackle should have been helping with Super Bowl coverage as the NFL Network analyst. He was not there because he was in jail after being arrested for allegedly choking a woman in his hotel room. He was not released until Sunday on a $1,500 bond.
The woman said she had been dating Sapp about two years. She told officers the two were partying with a large group of friends when she got tired and went to lie down. Sapp entered hours later, pulled her out of bed and tried to get her out of the room, according to the complaint. The complaint says he yelled at the woman about men she had been hanging out with and men listed in her cell phone.
Sapp himself had a different version of the story. He told investigators he let the woman stay in his room but asked her to leave a few hours later because he was expecting company. The woman got hurt because she fell on her leg when he was trying to help her get off a couch.
As a former star playing 13 years of football in NFL jerseys, Sapp apologized to the NFL family and fans for taking away any distraction from Sunday night’s Super Bowl game between the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts.

Saints LB Vilma plans to visit Haiti after Super Bowl game
As one of the 16 NFL players of Haitian descent, the New Orleans Saints star linebacker Jonathan Vilma will goes to Haiti after the Super Bowl game is over to make physical contribution to the relief effort.
Vilma, who will start at his position for the Saints this Sunday, has home in Miami, but Haiti is his parents’ homeland. There is a large Haitian community in his hometown in Miami, and the NFL star has been involved in raising cash, via a special tee-shirt, to help rebuild a country where members of his family still live. Vilma says he wants to be there himself once his football duties are over.
“In the position I’m in right now where I’m really restricted in what I can do, it’s really about doing something positive, doing something effective right now and then being more efficient once the season is over with,” Vilma told reporters. “In general, my intentions are to go down there and be productive. You hear a lot of people just going down and saying, ‘Look at the devastation,’ and that’s what they’re reporting back. Well, that’s a given. That’s obvious. I want to go down there and help, whether it be to clear out the devastation, try to help build homes, whatever it is I want to go down and not just look around and say it’s a sad situation. We all know it’s a sad situation. What can I do to help the situation?”

The third-year wide receiver will also play in Sunday’s Super Bowl but has a different plan in helping people in Haiti. Garcon lift up a Haitian flag on the field after the Colts beat the New York Jets to reach AFC Championship. He also has helped a Christian group with their fund-raising efforts. He is now planning to present the Haitian again during the Super Bowl.

NFL announces 2010 Pro Bowl ticket sales plans
The National Football League Has announced ticket sales plans for the 2010 Pro Bowl at Dolphin Stadium in South Florida.
Preceding the Super Bowl for the first time, the Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010 and be televised live on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. ET from Dolphin Stadium, also the site of Super Bowl XLIV a week later on Sunday, Feb. 7. The 2010 Pro Bowl marks the first time the event has been on the mainland in 30 years and the first time in South Florida in 35 years. Hard to guess if redskins jersey will have the superbowl patch.
