Just 9 days after he returned to the field, Jets RB Leon Washington again skipped practice. But this time for a new reason--his fiancee just gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday morning. The baby's name was already known to be Noel, as Leon spelled backwards.
Jets coach Rex Ryan considered Washington made the right decision this time. He told reporters that missing kid's birth is the biggest regret in his coach career, so he was glad to know that Washington just chose to do the right thing.
Before last Monday Washington had skipped the team’s voluntary practices because of conract disputes, but he returned to the field on Monday practice. I think it is possible we will see him playing on field again soon.

Tom Brady praised his doctor for a good job
To Patriot fans' gladness, QB Tom Brady returned to team practice last week, just 8 months after he tore three ligaments in his left last september. Brady attributed the quick recovery to doctor Neal ElAttrache who performed the knee surgery on him.
I should say Brady made a good choice while choosing doctor. As the team doctor for Major League Baseball’s Los Angeles Dodgers, Dr. Neal ElAttrache an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles. And Los Angeles is a place where Brady owns a home and spends most of his spare time. Brady praised Dr. Neal ElAttrache that he is one of the great doctors over the world and helped him a lot.
Well done! For both of the QB and the doctor.

It's time for Patriots to make a decision
The Patriots has not much time left now. It needs to make a decision whether give Vince Wilfork a new contract, as the latter has showed his attitude obviously by not taking part in OTAs.
Patriots may think that it can not allow a player to be so ungovernable. But Wilfork just has the competence to insist his demands. He is a necessary part of Pats' defense line. And there is little time left for Patriots to choose another player to fill in Wilfork's position.
So I guess, as long as Wilfork will hold on, he is very likely to get a new contract as he likes.

Jets probably will miss playoff
Jets just hired a new head coach, Rex Ryan. Good choice, with Ryan creating a great defensive scheme in Baltimore.
Jets QB Mark Sanchez is unable to prove himself as talented as Ryan and Flacco.
What will the Jets face in this NFL season? They are in one of the most competitive divisions in football this year in the AFC East. And the AFC is more competitive then NFL. So the Jets will face strong opponent teams. The weakness in defense will make the Jets probable miss the playoff.

Favre got negative assessment from Tarkenton
Favre has been engaged in the career of football player for 18 years. Some people consider him qualified to be a Hall of Famer, and last Thursday it was reported that there was opportunity for him to join the Vikings. Howerver, negative assessment about him recently came from Vikings great QB Tarkenton.
Tarkenton did not think Favre's performance in the Packers last year good enough. And he said that Favre's leaving the Packers, which he had been working for 18 years, is not what a great player should have done. He also described Favre with the word "flamboyant", and considered that it was Favre's fault that made the Packers lose in the game with the Giants.

Udeze will be back to Vikings
Except the issue of Favre, Udeze's coming back is another big news for the Minnesota Vikings.
One year ago, Udeze unerwent a bone-marrow transplant due to an acute form of leukemia. After 1 year of recovery, he took part in the four days of OTAs with the Vikings last week, proving that he has come back in form.
Although the team coach Brad Childress did not confirm to the reporters whether or when Udeze will become part of the team again, he did express his optimism on the veteran player's future.
Childress indicated that Udeze passed all the checks. We may expect Udeze will come back to field playing for the team again.

Colston's microfracture procedure was done in January
According to a report by the New Orleans Times-Picayune on Friday,a “microfracture surgical procedure” has been done on olston's left knee in January. It was said that he had worn a small hole in his kneecap.
As Saints WR, Marques Colston's microfracture procedure is not great news for Saints fans. Colston already took a step back in 2008, his third NFL season, before which he went through a pair of 1,000-yard seasons in his first two seasons in the league. because of injuries, Colston did not access to five games and started just six games in 2008, catching 47 balls for 760 yards and five touchdowns.
Times-Picayune's Mike Triplett assessed that Colston will not become 100 pecent healthy until 2009 season.Yet it is still uncertain when Colston will be all better, but since he has already been able to take part in practicing, we can expect that he will become Brees’ favorite target soon.
